Take an early morning brisk walk or jog to Fort
Pointe Lighthouse a 8 km return trip from the Rolling Hills.
Fort Pointe a remnant of the 1700's is one of the few lighthouses still
operational with a light and fog horn.
Drive the 9 km picturesque route to New Bonaventure and hike
the trail to the old abandoned fishing village of Kerley's
Harbour. View the location site of the movie "The Shipping
News" andCBC's television
series "Random Passage" aired Fall 2001.
Meander around the little village of
Dunfield visiting the fishing stages and beaches.

Historic Trinity just 5 km away offers
summer theatre including the "NEW FOUND LANDE" Pageant - an
outdoor performance depicting the lives of fisherman and merchants in the
1800's.
Visit the Hiscock House built in 1881- a Provincial Historic Site.
Lester Garland House built in 1821 by an
English fishing merchant was rebuilt to its original form in 1997.
Scheduled boat tours leave Trinity
throughout the summer to observe whales- humpbacks, minkes
and porpoises. There are also eagles and ospreys in the area.
Sea Kayaking - explore inlets and caves by
kayak.
The Trinity Train Loop- theme park.
Bonavista is a 45 minute drive from the
Rolling Hills - the town where John Cabot landed in
1497. Visit the national historic site of the Ryan
Premises featuring early east coast fishery. Also, view the rugged
coastline, popular Bonavista Lighthouse and a replica
of John Cabot's ship " THE MATTHEW."

on Route 235 is The View Golf Course (near Summerville),
- one hour west
from is Terra Nova National Park Golf Course, and
- one hour east is Brookside Golf Coursein Hatchet Cove
